Movie on the Square

Attention, Bay Area residents! Welcome the weekends early every Thursday night this summer at Movie on the Square, an outdoor film series hosted at Courthouse Square in downtown Redwood City.  Head al fresco to enjoy modern hits like “Guardians of the Galaxy,” or classic faves like “Indiana Jones.”

Plus, you can skip the overpriced movie lobby and bring along your own gourmet picnic. Nearby Whole Foods has picnic-perfect snacking fare (Kale Salad, anyone?), and local Mexican taqueria La Vic’s offers juicy burritos (ask for the Orange Sauce).

Movies start around 8 p.m. The last movie screening of the season is September 17. Radius residents, you are just steps away!

Music on the Square

Come back Friday night for Music on the Square from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. You’ll hear an eclectic range of music, like U2 tribute band Zoo Station (the lead singer even dresses like Bono), Nashville-based Chris Gardner Band, and Foreverland (a 14-piece ensemble honoring the King of Pop). The last show of the season is September 4.
